Hi, so this will be my first reflective journal on the progress I have made in the course.
This week was the start up week, where the other students and I had as an assignment to get familiar with our learning page and programs that we will use during the course.
Now the week started off the way I had intended, but that changed rather quickly. I had ordered a knew computer, as my old one could not support any of the programs I needed for the course. The computer was suppose to arrive a week before school even started, but was delayed. So when I got it, I immediately started setting it up. Now, I have rather horrible internet in my apartment, so downloading all the programs I needed was a slow and tedious affair. But by Thursday that same week, I had everything up and running. So enough of the problems, let's talk about my first week.
WEEK 1
TUESDAY
TUESDAY
Our first day of school was more of a introduction day, where we were gonna introduce ourselves on a student forum and get familiar with navigating around the learning program. So that was just a nice way of kicking the week off.
WEDNESDAY
Our second day, things got more serious. Here we got our first proper assignment, where we were gonna plan, perform and reflect on the task at hand. The assignment was split up in two parts, the first part was writing a research piece on CAD and the other part was drawing a box in AutoCAD. Now, I hadn't actually been able to download the program needed for the assignment yet. So I finished the first part of the assignment, and instead of doing nothing while I waited it to download, I started watching tutorial videos on AutoCAD.
THURSDAY
The third day I still didn't have the program needed, so I spent it reading through the lectures of day three and four, that read how we would deliver our first project, and how future project would be delivered.
FRIDAY
Now this was the day of the deadline, but because I had just been able to get the program on my computer I was kindly allowed to deliver our first project during the weekend. I did spent Friday trying to get the box ready, but was unhappy with the results I had gotten. So I took it easy, and planned I would take my time, and deliver it when I was happy with it.
SATURDAY/SUNDAY
I had plans outside of school both days, but was able to work a few hours everyday until I was happy with the box, and the report for the project.
